In 2026, Moomin Arabia celebrated the 30th anniversary of the beloved illustration “Love,” which depicts Moominvalley’s well-known sweethearts and friends, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden. The new collection is all about cherishing the time we spend with friends, family, and other people who mean a lot to us. Especially around Christmas and the holidays, most of us seek out our loved ones. One of the best ways to strengthen that sense of community and closeness is to do something together with the people around us. That’s what we want to inspire with Kärleksgåva, says Annika Tickle, Creative Director at Moomin Arabia.

A festive atmosphere with the Moomin family:
“Gift of Love” features a new color palette of green, mustard yellow, and beige. The illustrations and patterns on the products are inspired by Tove Jansson’s 1958 comic strip *The Golden Tail*. In the story, Moomintroll becomes popular thanks to the shiny tuft at the end of his tail. He is invited to a fancy party where everyone is in a festive mood, toasting, cheering, and dancing on the table. The designs also draw details from the comic series *The Family Lives in Style* (1955) and *We’re Starting a New Life* (1956).
