The design is based on Tove and Lars Jansson's cartoon series Moomin Winter (1959) and Pretend Play (1956).
History of the motif: In the motif of the new Moominmamma set, Moominmamma is cleaning the garden with her maid Misan. Moominmamma has a maid for a while, because her neighbor, Filifjonkan, thinks the Moomin family needs help cleaning their messy home. In addition to her own family, Moominmamma also takes care of everyone who visits the Moominhouse - whether they just drop in or stay longer. Moominmamma can also enjoy life and take time for herself, for example by having a cup of coffee, which can be seen on the back of the mug.
