Glass blowing
At INGE-GLAS® MANUFAKTUR, all ornaments are blown by hand according to ancient craftsmanship. Balls, finials and many more ornaments are freely shaped in front of the flame by experienced glassblowers. For all figures, the evenly heated glass is blown into special shapes with great care and finesse.
Silvering
The distinctive brilliance of INGE-GLAS® MANUFAKTUR glass ornaments is created by applying a genuine silver coating by hand. Each ornament is filled with a pure silver solution which then covers the inside of the glass.
Painting
Up to 60 steps are necessary to give an ornament its final look. Small details such as eyes, pupils and eyebrows are painted with care and by the very steady hand of a qualified INGE-GLAS® painter. Each individual ornament is painted by the same painter from the first to the last painting step. Thus, each ornament gets its unique personal character.
Quality control
Every INGE-GLAS® MANUFAKTUR ornament undergoes a final quality control. Only when this quality control is approved will the respective ornament be provided with the registered trademark - Star Crown®. This guarantees the hand-blown and hand-painted craftsmanship from Germany.
